Blessings To Neopoet

Today I write not to please self but to enhance the fate of others

I exist as a vapor then I am no more through the vast opened door

the willingness to explore so much more I give cadence to simpler times

I'm learning to write less and listen more pay attention to each episode

Carry on with a song in my heart to impart a reason to be strong

Trying to comment on others fine works to build people up.

In no way fashioned to use negativity to bring others down

We all know we make mistakes along the way but give people a chance

Neopoet extended an olive branch blessing in my way to be heard

I'm forever humbly grateful for Neopoet in how they support each other.

Lastly, I'm deeply humbled to take part in their lessons that I need to know.

Giving growth to the average poet and helpful insights along the way

Spring Fever

I knew winter was coming to an end

Spring crept up slowly

No matter how slowly however,

I knew he would reach for me and touch me with his poison

I soon came down with Spring Fever

Like a snake in tall grasses, he slithered

He slithered slowly towards me, the prey

Cautious of every move I was to make, Spring saw the vulnerbility

After a bitter cold winter, Spring could not have come at a better time

The opportunity was there, and I had been waiting for the attack

And there he was, as soon as I allowed my guard to fall

Spring came at me, and mesmerized me with his fever

Spring's posonous bite brought me to a feeling of peace

Relaxation, and tranquility

Bud's blossomed, birds sang, and the evening wind whispered softly

Melodies floated through my mind

The air was new, clean, and I was pure again

It was the beginning of an entire world

The birth of life, the beginning of the end

The first day of Spring

Empty

The clouds roll above black as tar

I try to run but it's too far

Stuck in this dreary place

Is there not a friendly face

Madness screams from here to there

The soul lonely and bare

Emptiness is now all that exists

Growing like enormous cysts

Soon there will be no more

Nothing but an empty core.
